About White Strand, Doonbeg

White Strand at Doonbeg is a sheltered horseshoe of pale sand tucked into Doonbeg Bay in west Clare. Backed by dunes and generally calmer than the open Atlantic surf beaches nearby, it is a favourite family beach.
