Our Story
Wild Beauty began on the west coast of County Clare — where the Atlantic meets the Burren and time moves at its own pace.
The name came from the landscape itself: a place too rugged to be pretty, too alive to be ignored. Wild. Beautiful. Distinctly Irish.
It started with West Clare. It has since grown to take in the whole of the Wild Atlantic Way, and — through the swim and walk guides — the coast and the hills of the entire island.
The Swim Guide
Live sea-swimming conditions for ninety-six beaches around Ireland — tide times and height, sea temperature, air temperature, wave height, wind, UV and small-craft conditions, updated continuously and shown for the beach nearest you.
Tide predictions come from the Irish Marine Institute's own station network rather than a global model, which matters: on this coast the difference between the two can be the better part of an hour. It is free, there is nothing to sign up for, and it exists because we wanted it ourselves.
The Walk Guide
146 walking routes across all thirty-two counties — from half-hour forest loops and the long National Waymarked Ways to fifty mountain days, among them Carrauntoohil, Galtymore, Lugnaquilla, Mweelrea, Errigal and the Mournes.
Every route carries live conditions for its own trailhead: wind and the peak gust to come, rain in the last twenty-four hours because that decides how wet the ground is, and how much daylight is left against how long the walk takes. Alongside that, the things a guidebook would tell you — the climb, the map sheet, the car park, what catches people out on that particular hill, where the nearest campsite is, and a contour map with the routes as mapped in OpenStreetMap.
It never tells you a route is safe. It gives you the numbers and leaves the decision where it belongs.
The Prints
Nineteen paintings of the Irish coast, available as fine art prints — the cliffs at Loop Head under storm light, the arc of Kilkee Bay at dusk, fishing boats at anchor, and the headlands of the Wild Atlantic Way from Kinsale and Mizen Head through Kerry and Clare to the Sky Road above Clifden.

The Novels
The You Deserve This series includes twelve standalone novels set among the women of Kilcarra and Ballinderry on the West Clare coast of Ireland. Each novel stands alone — but the village runs through all of them like a thread of salt air.
These are stories of love, loss, longing, and the particular grace that comes from living close to the sea — from women who know how to wait, and how to leave, and sometimes how to stay.
The Painter's Road
An illustrated trilogy — and a one-volume Complete Journey omnibus — following Jim Brennan and his thirty-year-old campervan along the whole of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, painting all fifteen Signature Discovery Points in one unforgettable summer.
