About Rosslare Strand

Rosslare Strand is a five-kilometre ribbon of sand hugging the Burrow Peninsula at the southern edge of Wexford Harbour, in what's often billed as Ireland's sunniest corner.

A Blue Flag beach with a friendly holiday village behind it, it's made for long swims and longer walks — you can stroll the whole strand up to Rosslare Fort at the peninsula's tip.

Rosslare Strand is a Blue Flag beach for 2026 — certified water quality, good facilities and lifeguard cover through the bathing season. Lifeguards patrol through the summer (Wexford County Council): weekends in June, then daily in July and August.
