About Fanore

Fanore is a broad sandy beach backed by dunes on the western edge of the Burren in north Clare, where the grey limestone hills run down to the Atlantic. A Blue Flag beach popular with swimmers and surfers, it looks out across Galway Bay toward the Aran Islands.

Swimming & safety
